FINALLY!!! Summer is here, and I am finally updating the blog! :)
So, it has been awhile folks, I am not sure if we even have any followers left, but here goes a quick update...
Dad... was working in Lansing, hours were crazy, and the shift stunk, was tough on all of us, he has recently found a new job in Sparta with Packaging Personified, so far... so good! Dad also was assistant coach on Kolton's soccer team this past Spring season, and he really enjoyed being able to do that with Kolton. He might even be a head coach come Fall...
Mom... Has had a rough time with my neck since my surgery on Feb 2, 2010. I am FINALLY starting to have control over my pain with my new meds. Pain is def still there, but as long as I can deal, I am ok. During my disability, I did unfortunately get let go from SecureOne. Hopefully when business picks up I can get hired back, if not I am hoping to only get better with my neck and get back out into the work field one way or another. Not that staying home with both boys and taking care of house is not " work". On the contrary, I definitely used to underestimate stay @ home moms! It has been nice spending time with my boys though. (most of the time)
Kolton... is going to be six years old on Saturday! Holy Moly, where does the time go?!! He just finished his 4th season of soccer, he is really starting to understand the game, and is getting very good. One game in particular, he had 4 goals! He is doing great and really enjoyed Dad being assistant coach this past season. Kolton also just graduated from kindergarten at Walker Charter Academy. He did soo amazing this past year, and continuously tested way above average for his age group. He also won the PM Kindergarten Math Bee! He was the last one standing out of like 40+ kids!!! He has made a ton of new friends, and is super excited about being a big bad first grader in the Fall! We are super proud of Kolton and ALL of his accomplishments!
Seger... Almost 2 and 1/2 years old! He is the funniest most adorable bundle of.... TROUBLE! lol! We adore our little Seger bug! But he is a handful to say the least! He has boundless amounts of energy, and is super inquisitive, like hmmmm whats gonna happen if i crack all of these eggs on the kitchen floor! He def tests my patience, but then he turns around with a big hug and kiss, and "I Love You Mom!" and how quickly I forget how naughty he is! (for a few seconds that is!) Seger loves being outside though, and has def been enjoying the warmer weather!
Well that about brings us to date... We are all looking forward to Koltons birthday on Saturday, and visiting my cousin for the 4th of July! Hope everyone is enjoying this wet chilly beginning to summer, and has a great 4th of July also!
xoxo
